[HOME]  PULPIT SERMONS   TV SERMONS   WRITINGS

Mr. Mahan was born in Birmingham, Alabama in August of 1926. He joined the United States Navy in 1944, serving as a signal man on an L.S.T. in the Pacific. He married his wife Doris in 1946. God blessed them with four children.

In 1950, God revealed Christ to him through evangelist Rolfe Barnard. At this time he was an assistant pastor in Ashland, Kentucky. In 1955, 13th Street Baptist Church was formed and Mr. Mahan was called to be their pastor.

Mr. Mahan remained at 13th St. for 50 years. His message never changed. He preached the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him crucified -- in full accord with Scripture. The material on this website represents him and his labors.
